What this is and what it isn't
The investment cases on this site are produced by an automated pipeline: a research step gathers primary sources, a Grok synthesis pass scores the business, the model produces a probability-weighted scenario, and the report renderer writes the body. The whole thing re-runs whenever a new catalyst lands.
These manual reports are different. They are written by hand, against the same primary sources the pipeline pulls, but the reasoning is human. Where a pipeline run is constrained by the model and the methodology, a manual report can argue from a specific angle, address a specific question, or go deeper on a specific data point. They are also the place where a re-run can break the methodology and the operator needs to make a call on the record.
Manual reports live in their own files. A re-run of the investment case does not touch them. They are version-controlled, citable, and survive any number of pipeline regenerations.
How to read them
- The headline number and tier on the linked investment case page are what the model says.
- The manual report is the operator's own reading of the same evidence, with explicit reference to primary sources.
- When the two diverge, the manual report is the place to look for the reasoning.
